"The Need For Authority"

Authority-a person or organization having power or control.

Romans 13:1-7

Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God.

2 Whosoever therefore resisteth the power, resisteth the ordinance of God: and they that resist shall receive to themselves damnation.

3 For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to the evil. Wilt thou then not be afraid of the power? do that which is good, and thou shalt have praise of the same:

4 For he is the minister of God to thee for good. But if thou do that which is evil, be afraid; for he beareth not the sword in vain: for he is the minister of God, a revenger to execute wrath upon him that doeth evil.

5 Wherefore ye must needs be subject, not only for wrath, but also for conscience sake.

6 For for this cause pay ye tribute also: for they are God's ministers, attending continually upon this very thing.

7 Render therefore to all their dues: tribute to whom tribute is due; custom to whom custom; fear to whom fear; honour to whom honour.

Romans 8:7-9 NKJVBecause the carnal mind is enmity against God; for it is not subject to the law of God, nor indeed can be. So then, those who are in the flesh cannot please God. But you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God dwells in you.

Intro: The Natural mind is not subject to the laws of God neither can they be. God has to make you Holy and subject to His laws, however you must want it, hunger for it thirst after it. become sick of doing you and being backwards.

1 Corinthians 2:9 9 But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him. Eygypt, Ruth,Prodigal,

you will never get out of life what you want without Spiritual Authority.

Isaiah 14:12-14 12 How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations! 13 For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north: 14 I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High.

Fallen from heaven: In fact, there are four falls of Satan, and this passage refers to his final, fourth fall.

i. Satan fell from glorified to profane (Ezekiel 28:14-16). This is what Jesus spoke of in Luke 10:18 when He says He saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven. This is the only fall of Satan that has already happened.

ii. Satan will fall from having access to heaven (Job 1:12, 1 Kings 22:21, Zechariah 3:1) to restriction on the earth (Revelation 12:9).

iii. Satan will fall from his place on the earth to bondage in the bottomless pit for 1,000 years (Revelation 20:1-3).

iv. Finally, as mentioned here in Isaiah 14:12, Satan will fall from the bottomless pit to the lake of fire, which we commonly know as hell (Revelation 20:10).

This is why Jesus says pray like this!!! One third of the angels followed satan to hell and rebellion.

A. satan’s fall was prompted by something he said, he said it in his heart.

I will: The pride, the grasping selfish ambition, the self-will of the king of Babylon is powerfully expressed in five I will statements. This is the essence of the self-focused and self-obsessed life.

·I will ascend into heaven: It was as if Satan said, “Heaven will be my home and my place of honor.”

·I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: “I will be enthroned and will be exalted above all other angelic beings.”

·I will also sit on the mount of the congregation: “I will sit in the place of glory and honor and attention.”

·I will ascend above the heights: “I will continue to rise, even in heaven, until all see me in my bright shining glory.”

·I will be like the Most High: “I will be glorious, and be set equal to God, far above all other created beings.”Matthew 6:13 13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.

So many people are being lead right into temptation, sickbed couldn’t tell them anything. I’ve stood over cancer patients bed that was young enought to keep living and wasn’t ready to die!!

Break!!! the evil off of me I want to live!!! Israel doubted in the wilderness and died right there, all those funerals because they doubted God!!!!

Philippians 2:5-8 5 Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: 6 Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: 7 But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: 8 And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.

#1 God’s Kingdom Is Established On Authority.

You need to know this. Why call me Lord and do not the things i say!! How can you plead the blood and and not be under Authority. All things are created by His authority.

sin against power is different from sin against authority. house rules are dishes has to be done, daily anyone can remind you of this, however when your mother says i want the dishes done and you say i won’t do anything you have to say, that is rebellion against God himself.....

who being the brightness of His glory and the express image of His person, upholding all things by the word of His power, when He had by Himself purged our sins, sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high, Heb: 1:3

Colossians 1:16-17 KJVfor by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him: and he is before all things, and by him all things consist.

God alone is authority in all things, a broken command is different from, sinning against His authority. it is blantant!! rebellion.

This is what caused lucifer’s fall. God alone is the only authority in the Earth.

It is imperative for us that will follow Him to know His authority, He alone has all power.

The origin of satan- Is when he steps outside of God’s authority.

competed with God, thus became an adversry of God, you can not compete with a person without becoming an adversary, he wanted to win over God. Rebellion was the cause of his fall.

you become somone else when you step outside of God’s authority.

No peace, No joy, no provision, no health, no healing.

#2. Rebellion is a Principle of satan: The origin of satan

It is possible to stand with Christ in doctrine, yes I believe that and yet stand with satan in principle Rebellion against His authority.

satan is not afraid of you joining the church, singing in the choir, heading up outreach, missions and any other dept. as long as you do not come under Christ authority!!!

We preach the Gospel to bring men into the authority of Christ.
